Checklist

  1. A call to serve as first priority the humanitarian needs of your ministry field.  Please include a brief essay describing why you feel called to your desired field.
  2. An agreement to represent the Levite Ministry based on the beliefs listed in your signed STATEMENT OF FAITH, MORAL CONDUCT, AND GOOD-FAITH REPRESENTATION, which includes the agreement to convey to any audience that additions to this statement do not necessarily represent the views and beliefs of the Levite Ministry and School of Worship, Inc.
  3. A signed VOLUNTARY HOLD HARMLESS WAIVER which includes the agreement to secure personal liability insurance before achieving an active ordination status.
  4. An ability to extend a non-combative relationship and friendship to clergy of all the faiths of the world.  For example, this would include Islam, Judaism, Christian, Protestantism, Catholicism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and the like.  Provide a brief written dialogue with a faith group of your choice demonstrating this ability.
  5. A proven and tested ability to manifest the presence of Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit WITHOUT the use of words.  To be determined by a staff member during your field experience.
  6. Be prepared to provide an answer for the hope within you ONLY when asked. (1 Peter 3:15) Provide a written example of sharing the hope you have in Christ to a non-believer.
  7. Levite Ministry Basic Chaplaincy training (14 hrs) or training provided by an approved training organization.  Two approved agencies are International Fellowship of Chaplains (IFOC.org) and The International Alliance of Chaplain Corps (IAOCC.org).  These trainings usually involve a single 47 hour one (1) week training. Other training agencies and/or accumulative experience are taken into consideration.
  8. One (1) year Field Experience related to the discipline of your choice.  (40 hours)
  9. A national background check to include: (DMV reports are optional)
    1. Criminal charges
    2. Sex Offender registries
  10. A world vision for peace and humanitarian causes, including emergency response preparedness in one or more of the following areas:
    1. Critical Incident Stress
    2. Basic needs service (for example, serving in a water and food-line)
    3. Basic first aid and CPR
    4. Search and Rescue
